Introductory Course

The Site runs an Introduction to Psychoanalysis course, a year-long programme intended to provoke a way of thinking psychoanalysis differently. The course consists of weekly seminars and an experiential group on Thursday evenings at Westminster Quakers Meeting House in Covent Garden from 7 to 9.45pm, starting in October.

Previous academic knowledge of psychoanalysis is not necessary to enrol but a lively intellectual curiosity certainly is. If you were interested in further training as a psychoanalyst this would be a good place to start, although completion of this course does not guarantee acceptance to The Site training. The fee is currently £1,200, payable when your application is accepted. This fee will not be refunded unless the course is cancelled or cannot go ahead.

Applicants from under-represented groups, including ethnic minorities, are particularly welcomed.

It is the responsibility of any student enrolled on any course run by The Site to check with the organisation about any Risk Assessments provided by The Site and/or any venues used by The Site. The Site plays a role in responding to complaints – please see here for more information. This does not affect your statutory rights.
